Mysterious lights

Feature: Ivette & Naor Daniel

I met Naor while in Israel. He shared just about 30 seconds or so on something he was working on, the melody and the beats were so great and inspiring that immediately in ten minutes I had already written the song, so we recorded Mysterious lights in Israel in his own home studio, and it came out to be this song which is a wonderful mix of both our energies and both our cultures.

Everyone´s everywhere

I’ve been traveling a lot lately specially to big cities in the world for work, and this song is a little bit about that feeling that type of traveling gives you, everyone running around, stressing about getting to work soon, culture definition of time, having different types of Jobs, different dreams and different emotions, running different lives, and also living to the fullest, struggling and dreaming to be someone or to keep being someone in there habitat as we could call it.

Sometimes I like to write songs with a bit of theatricals, This song is about someone going a little bit nuts, hahaha, someone with bipolar personality that finds herself in a dangerous situation trying to decide between running, or keeping silent and standing still. It gives me a certain rush up to the point where it reflects a huge energetic anxiety.

 Soul Search

Who hasn’t believed once in somebody and thought for one second that this person might be some sort of a God, or at least adored this illusion of a person and then found out that it was pure and simple blindness. This song is about fanaticism, when we let ourselves stop thinking reasonably and start acting in consequence of irrational and extremist devotion.

Come and dream

Feature: Ivette & Peter Reinders

I’ve heard so many songs lately about lalaland and about being a star in Hollywood and being a pop star in this place, seen videos that have stars and ponies, and Willy wonka type of scenery that from an outside perspective it seems a bit silly. This song is actually exaggerating this silliness to the fullest, and even exaggerating a song to the fullest POP song we could get to. Even with the funny lyrics, and the exaggeration of the POP like feeling, I think it offers a really good vibe then just the joke we kind of make of everything.

It’s my diva song, I love these clichés, but then again I love what Peter did with the music here, where even though you can dance to it, it’s so obscure but fun.

Enfant

First time I heard the music for this song I thought it was so pretty and petit and cute, Peter had already added the voices he’d recorded personally of the kids in Paris I believe playing in the playground. And the lyrics I wrote were basically what I remembered my childhood was like. All pretty pink.

What I like about this song is its humor, even though it’s a drum and base, it gives you the feeling of chill out music, and it sends you to a state of relaxation even though the song is talking about a completely different mood.

The lyrics of this song speak for themself, it’s a love song...

Modular

This song is very personal and very emotional to me, it speaks about violence, social insecurity and how it has affected me and the people around me. It's not a political song, I'm not pissing on anyone, I'm not trying to prove a point, it's just my way of accepting reality, I don't portray myself as a saint on this song, I question myself but of course I also question my surroundings.
